Asakura Premium Barrel-Aged Shochu Liqueur

Barley shochu is aged in shochu seasoned oak for 6 years. The contents of a seasoned shochu barrel are transferred to an ex Brandy (Cognac) cask and aged for a further one year.

Koji fermentation imparts a distinctively smooth taste and texture unique to Asakura liqueurs. The Cognac cask imparts a complex and mellow flavour which lingers on the palate. A beautiful union of French Oak and Japanese Shochu.
